The 2022 season begins for our Academy

The O&L RSA academy kicked off the 2022 season with trials. With the clubs rich history in recruiting the best talent all over the country there is definitely room for excitement. WWS JOINS FORCES WITH O&L RAMBLERS IN A SMART PARTNERSHIP.

We have entered into a ten-year development MOU with international soccer academy World Wide Scholarship based in South Africa with international strategic partners in Europe and the USA and through this new partnership to be known as “WWS O&L Ramblers Soccer Academy “, we will be stepping up our Soccer Academy by establishing a permanent talent-scouting and development structure in Namibia. This collaboration will bring about world-class talent identification, assessments and trials, coach education and certification, academy and soccer school training tournament and youth experiences and most importantly global university placement services will now be brought to Namibia!

THE ROAD TO NFA MTC CUP GLORY BEGINS NOW

The men’s first team begin their road to The 2021 MTC NFA CUP FINAL this weekend in Swakopmund. The team will play their first competitive games under their new coach Jomo Keiseb, who is in high spirits before their game this weekend. The boys will be participating in a straight knockout out competition in the first division stream. The winners and the runner ups will automatically qualify for the competition proper and will join the Premier League sides in the round of 32. 

The 30 man squad for the knockout tournament are: Paulus Amutenya, Silas Matheus, Ileni Hitula, Vincent Pack, Solomon Negumbo, Tuhafeni Leonard, Ruben Allock, Gamena Nulle, Rinoumba Karumendu, Malcom Pack, Filippo Micheletti , Uri Mootu, Ndjiharine Katjivena, Luis Solunga, Edmar Kamatuka, Xavier Mclune, Zander Mclune, Tulli Neshixua, Nguvi Tjatindi, Mark Mahundu, Terence Kakona, Alvero Goagoseb, Pinto Matheus, Paulus Gideon, Viarinao Usurua, Riya Usurua, Gabriele Micheletti, Jack Packer, Punaje Vita, Vihape Mungunda. 25 out of the 30 players are all academy graduates. This statistic has really proved that there is a pathway for our players. This is a remarkable achievement and we are proud of that.

The boys play their first match vs Khomas Nampol on Saturday, 12h00 at the Mondesa Stadium in Swakopmund.
