THE Ramblers Soccer Academy held their annual youth tournament for the third time in July, with more than 400 girls and boys from Windhoek-based teams like KFA, Scorpions, NYFDP, Swallows, SKW and hosts Ramblers as well as teams from Otjiwarongo FC and Swakopmund participating in the age groups u/7, u/9, u/11 and u/13.

Below the tournament fixture and rules for the annual Youth Tournament of the Ramblers Soccer Academy (RSA) which will be held this weekend at the Ramblers grounds in Pionierspark.

Dear parents and boys

Like the famous “Dinner for One” sketch, where it is said “Same procedure as last time?” I can answer “Same procedure as every time!” Yes, our under 9’s did it again and won their third trophy of the year when we participated at the annual St.Georges School tournament.

In a very entertaining match Ramblers U13 were able to beat SKW 3:0. Goals scored by Ennio Hamutenia (3). Ramblers in the end were deserved winners. The result could have been even higher if the forwards of Ramblers would have converted sitters.

1. GLOBAL UNITED
A special “Thanks” to all the parents making the effort to bring their boys to the stadium, although it became a “late night” and despite school next day. It was great to see the kids walking on the pitch. Their behaviour was excellent.

VW SA Regional Tournament 2010

VW is hosting a regional Volkswagen Junior Masters South African Finals tournament during January 2010. This tournament is scheduled from 4 to 6 January 2010 in Port Elizabeth. Namibia via a VW dealership, Zimmermann Garage, has been invited to participate at this tournament. Georg Engelbauer acts as convenor of the team, which will consist of players selected from the SKW, SFC and Ramblers youth development sections. Players born 1/1/1997 or after qualify for selection.
